Overview

As part of the project, Plan4Better calculated the quality of local public transport for 2025 in Schleswig-Holstein for NAH.SH, analyzing both traditional scheduled services and on-demand services based on schedule data, service times and stops, using the public transport quality class methodology.

Goals

Assessment of public transport quality in Schleswig-Holstein to obtain representative results for a typical working day (Tuesday between 6:00 and 20:00).
Consideration of the frequency of departures per station to determine station categories and include both scheduled and on-demand services.

Results

The analysis provides detailed insights into public transport quality classes based on real data and helps to identify weak points in the local public transport network.
The integration of on-demand services shows an improvement in accessibility, which could lead to more efficient and user-friendly mobility in Schleswig-Holstein, with transferable findings for other federal states.
